I'm glad they did not waste any time going after the driver. Too bad for the operator (I think I know the business that owns it and have done business with them. I'll refrain from mentioning names because I have not heard the ownership confirmed as of yet) as it will cost them money as they will inevitably be dragged into court by lawyers looking to go after deep pockets even though they did nothing negligent. At times like this I wish our state had strict guidelines as to what could make its way into court. It probably would be worse if the victims were regular folks as their survivors would readily seek out lawyers and sue all who were involved. My prayers go out to those killed and injured in this.
