we run a guided hunting service in sw ok. the best by far are swarovski--but at 1200 dollars and up--not very cost effective...I don't loan them to anyone, especially my wife. Bass Pro has some decent 10x40's that are house brand made by Nikon that are well worth the 150.00 that I use as my knockaround pair. if you can compare and see which ones you like, but get the ones that allow the most light in--test them in twilight conditions and you will see which ones are the best.
