Tractor related cause you may be looking at forsale signs and not want to get out of the car....

Anyway, what is a good Joeblow pair for looking at wildlife and birds? Don't want a spotter scope but no opra glasses either. I like to watch hawks, birds and deer but don't want something you need a masters degree to use.

Any tips appreciated......

(8x30, 10x50??? Zoom??, etc)

Thanks, Dave

Dave I just buy a pair of cheap ones . to use in Camper also have a pair in each auto. & a good pair at home for use when hunting & around home.

Bushnell excursion 10x42

Compact but great clarity. I use them for hunting and love them. Not too much money either. You will love them.

Go to the nearest sporting goods dealer and compare a pair of Nikon Binoculars with any other brand. You will notice they are clearer and much less strain on the eyes. They are pricey though.

we run a guided hunting service in sw ok. the best by far are swarovski--but at 1200 dollars and up--not very cost effective...I don't loan them to anyone, especially my wife. Bass Pro has some decent 10x40's that are house brand made by Nikon that are well worth the 150.00 that I use as my knockaround pair. if you can compare and see which ones you like, but get the ones that allow the most light in--test them in twilight conditions and you will see which ones are the best.

Take a look at Vortex. Good optics at reasonable pricing. Good warranty as well, but I haven't had to use it.

I have a pair of Steiner 8 X 30. They run around $190 here in the states. I wish I could afford their 10 X 50, but dont have that kind of cash.

Believe it or not, that's about half what they cost here....... I'll make a list of what y'all suggest and leave it laying out where the significant other can find it

I have two pair of Bushnell 10X50 Bino's that the grandson and I use deer hunting. Around $40 at Target and very good glasses for the buck.

I have a pair of 10 x 50's and wish they were 7 power. Hardly ever use them, and don't know where they are right now.

I suggest you go to a store selling them and try a couple different ones out just when it is getting dark. How well they work in low light condtions will separate the men from the boys.

You wouldn't believe what them things cost here... And in my area, the stores that sell them are in the middle of the city so even if they'd let you take them outside streets are lit up....
