If they go in a hole in the ground they are probably yellow jackets. We have a lot of them here in N. Ga., very aggressive . Wait till almost dark and use some wasp spray that shoots 20 ft. I have also used about 2 ounces of gas poured into the hole, game over. There may be a few strays in the morning but they will go away.
