Don't think it is a virus... I have Advanced System Optimiser which I purchased from "Herman" It cleans up the Registry etc.
What happens with these free scans is that it does the initial scan, notes the problems, and then you must purchase the system to erase the problems. So it is a scan without solving the problem unless etc. So did you use the free scan because what you said would fit in there,but is incomplete.You still have the problem. See my post below about DMP, mine picked these up.
