We round bail with a Ford 7700, JD935 MoCo, NH256 rotobar rake, and NH654 twine bailer. Our fisrt cut this year was a month ago and consisted of bermuda, johnson grass, volunteer oats, rye, and this year for the first time needle/speargrass. Due to the north texas conditions (pastures dry/browned up and no rain) we are needing to feed the hay. We, dad and I, are concerned about the needle/speargrass affecting (mouth or gut) the cattle and horses. So far we have been feeding last years leftover hay but are running out. The needle/speargrass already had headed out with the soft spike or head in the pocket and a 2-3" awn or tail present at cutting. Any comments good or bad.
