I let my '79 Harley set for a couple of years, ruined the gas, hosed up the S&S carb. I got some part cleaner from the local parts store that was in a gallon can with a screened dunker inside. Cost about $30. What the heck, tear the S&S apart and rebuild it, or try that stuff. Took the S&S off, dunked it in the stuff, swished it around a couple or few minutes, pulled it out...MINT!!! I don't know what the stuff was called and aint home to go look in the barn, but was parts cleaner and some stiff stuff at that. Blew the carb out with an air hose, put it back on...Great To Go. Clean, clean, clean inside and outside.
