I kind of agree with you,last concrete i bought here was $75 a yard,and by the time you dig hole buy rebar and all i think you'd have that much in one anyhow.Hundred years ago when i was a kid everyone had root cellars that were just a hole dug in solid ground, bridge timbers across the top,and about 6-12 " of dirt over that.I guess it worked we never blew away, but it was a damp dirty place to hide.
