My beloved Chiricahua Mts have been burning for 3 weeks .I posted them smoking a few days ago. The fire started on the New Mexico side on the eastern foothills. The fire has since then come over the top to the western side of the Mts. I have been watching helos flying from water trucks to the fire all day.I took this photo through a telescope a few minutes ago. It has been very dry for months and the Ponderosa pines can be seen flaring with the naked eye. It is 15 miles from my home to the mts.
