Mts. on fire

My beloved Chiricahua Mts have been burning for 3 weeks .I posted them smoking a few days ago. The fire started on the New Mexico side on the eastern foothills. The fire has since then come over the top to the western side of the Mts. I have been watching helos flying from water trucks to the fire all day.I took this photo through a telescope a few minutes ago. It has been very dry for months and the Ponderosa pines can be seen flaring with the naked eye. It is 15 miles from my home to the mts.

I hope you get some weather to help out...

It is so dry here - we've got grass fires every time a wheel rim hits the pavement or someone throws out a cigarette...

It sure is pretty out where you are talking about. I've been through there several times over the past couple years.

That's scary. Back in the 50's I attended a Girl Scout camp up there.

Any idea if it's so dry north of you, like beyond Alpine? I've still got some land there. Pine covered, last time I saw it.
