I agree, someone else mentioned Tractor Talk should only be tractor-related. To me, I agree to a certain extent, but there again, since I've been on the site, it seems to have evolved into a random conversation area with like-minded (tractor, farm, rural) thinking.
I kind of like it that way myself, its kind of like talk at the grain elevator, coffee shop, seed dealer, truck stop, etc. Like minded folks just chattin. But I agree, there's no need to argue/talk negatively here, or get TOO political or TOO religious.
Unfortunately, there's plenty places to fight in this world.
And there are sites for extensive political or religious talk. Occasional mention shouldn't really be that out of line, I wouldn't think.
Just me chimin in, ignore my comments if you like.
