To add to my prior post. I don't think you need much more power out of an suv then the 4.0 will give you. Its a pretty peppy and fast suv for what it is. The down side is you can tow much with them because they are a unibody but the v-8 doesn't change that either. I cant say ive been easy on my jeep at all and it hasn't given me any real problems. Things I have replaced is U-joints, I replaced the rear-end because it was getting noisy and worn out and brakes. I cant complain
