I"ve had several of the 4.0 Jeeps. Drivetrains have typically outlasted vehicle body, in my experience(south central MI). Pretty easy to get to everything, plenty of room under the hood. First one I bought, owned it 16 years, body rotted away, pulled the engine as it still ran strong even with 307011 miles on it, only regular maintenance and tune ups.
4.0 definitely gets my vote.
