They are a pretty good tractor. If you want a good cheap horse power the older Case go pretty cheap too. 1370 and 1570 are real reasonable. The only issue is that they are 100 PTO only. They did not have any electronics either.
Now Ford Farmer"s advice on a Ford TW20 is skewed. Those TW series Fords are cheap for a reason. The biggest is the engines. They are a non sleeved engine and over haul is expensive. The transmissions are not great either. Ford did not have a 100 plus horse power tractor until the Gennisis series.
