You didn�t mention engine make nor whether it was gas or diesel. We�ve got a 272 Leland down in the barn I weekly grind feed with. It has a four cylinder Perkins. Perkins engines are widely used with a sound reputation. We�re using three 1850 Oliver�s Perkins powered manufactured during the 60�s. Parts have been easy to get for all these babies, if not through the dealer, through outside sources. Suggest you check with a progressive starter-generator repair or rebuilding shop. I�m reasonably sure these engines have seen service in several other agricultural applications.
