I have done this split 6 or 7 times alone - I use a pair of wooden wedges placed on top of the front axle (one on each side & tapped in firmly) to keep the front from flopping around - makes it rock steady and place wheeled floor jack under the front end - use a 4 x 4 across the frame sides. a second wheeled floor jack is used under the rear - works great as long as you have a good floor. split takes about 10 minutes (not the first time) now.
When putting together watch the edges of the castings - both vertical & horizonal-to make sure that everything coming together is parallel.
