Shirley, you can do an inspection better'n me for worn pivot joint in the jiggle-stick. ...or... you can make a longer jiggle-stick. ...OR... you can byte the bullett and buy a REPLACEMENT starter switch. p/n: 9N-11450-B (which is probably on its last legs) Really desperate shadetree mechanics have been known to diss-assemble the 2-terminal starter switch to find out the copper contacts are paper thin. wadda concept, replace worn parts........respectfully, Dell
