Larry, my phylosophy for sure. Too often as parents we are so busy (we think) that we don't spend the time with our kids and their education. I'm guilty. I could have done more. And, of all things, I was elected to a four year term on our local school board and 2 years later appointed to finish out the last 1 year for another memeber. Instead of being helpful to my kids, this was very demanding of my time. Our 2 grandsons are in a charter school rather than a public school (their parents choice). Our granddaughter appears to be destined to go to the same public school where her father and grandfather graduated if they can buy the house they want.
