I of course did not remember doing it but my Mom had a picture of me on a small step ladder next to my dad on a larger ladder "painting" - well my Dad was at least. I was too but with water - I didn't know the difference, I was probably 2 or 3.

Then when I was a dad, I used the same "trick" with my son. Worked great! He was very happy being "important" working just like his dad. :-)

And while he was about 2 I built a shed roof dormer all across the back side of the roof where we lived. In the process I rewired a lot of the first floor. I can remember working on the outlets (breaker OFF, of course) with Brice sitting in my lap watching/helping by holding things for me. All that attention when they are under 6 is what pays off when they are 16!! He was never a problem - you know the "rebelion" stuff.
