When you mean there is a leak between the fan mount and the engine are you referring to the plate behind the gears that bolts up to the frame rails on the tractor??? I am having my FPM engine totally rebuilt at this time and my mechanic said that the new gasket that he received that is between the engine mounting frame on the motor and the block was pretty thin and he had to use a homemade gasket to get the oil to stop leaking when running. You should be able to find a gasket set on this web site, bare-co, or sparex. As for the color of your smoke you might wanna search for "white smoke" in the archives on this site or fordson.freeweb.nl. I have seen many troubleshooting guides for smoke on both sites. Thanks, Scott
