Adjusting front axle width on A - Pretty tough job

This is proving to be more work than I expected. This Super A axle is not rusty but the axle probably has not moved since new.
The tie rods are off. One is free and the other is soaking in vinegar- probably have to heat it.
I've removed the clamp and pin on one axle side. It's not stuck but it's not very willing to move. Maybe I will remove the wheel and weight at the spindle to unload the axle. Then grease the front wheel bearings while I'm at it.
I'm mostly whining here, but if anyone has been successful at this, I'll accept any ideas on how to do it easier.
