Thanks for the input! I have checked the plugs and they are all a darker grey than the lite grey of old but I thought that it may just be a richer carb setting. I did retorque the head and tweak the lifter settings but virtually no change was needed. Compression on all cylinders is normal. The lite blue smoke that I get is not puffing like its from one cylinder either its quite even. Your point of maybe over fill of the air cleaner is interesting I'll check it this weekend. I have had several older timers than me say that new rings take alot of lugging hours to set and seal properly. I just hate to blow smoke!
