Is new switch rated to carry a high amp load?Is wiring and connections good?Best bet is to wire in a relay.You can use your new switch to activate a relay and the relay can carry the load between battery and glow plugs.Don't forget to fuse your new glow plug circuit.You can look online for common relay wiring diagrams.
