am thinking of buying a 886 tractor. it is 1979 and in above average condition. has 5000 hrs. it has the german engine.guy told me he put an engine from a combine in it cause he has a wristpin failure. ok, was there 2 engines for these tractors, the german and us made ones? what cid are these engines? which one is the better of the two? also fuel economy? anything to look for on these tractors? or is the 986 a better way to go? thanks.
