That is the first version of the German built F-12 diesel. The engine was 132 cubic inch capacity, 4 inch stroke, 3 1/4 inch bore. The next version had a degree of stream-lined cowlings and the final version was the Farmall DF-25 (25 HP) which had a farmall style fuel tank with the steering box under the tank. The production of the DF-25 finished in 1953 with the introduction of the Farmall DGD-4 which had a new engine with the same engine capacity and produced about 30 HP. In the 1953 series there was also the 3 cylinder version of the same engine, the Farmall DED-3 (20 HP) which was an IH equivalent of the Ferguson TEA-20 and the 2 cylinder Farmall DLD-2 (about 12 HP) which was meant to be the diesel equivalent of the Cub. All three tractors used the same pistons and sleeves together with many other components.
