Just for everyone's information (next time someone someone pulls out a game of IH Trivial Pursuit), I came up with the answer I was looking for.
According to the owners manual for the "Farmall A, B, BN, C and U2 Power unit", on one of the last pages, it says 'the U2 is equipped with a SAE #4 bellhousing, and SAE #6 1/2 flywheel'.
Guess I need more blizzarding days with which to actually read the manuals.
Now back to my regularly scheduled work on taxes... (oh joy)
