I recently started work on a 1966 IH Cub Lo Boy. I"ve never seen a worse rust problem--almost every nut or bolt I loosened needed serious heat. I have managed that, but now I have a problem that has me stumped. The left brake and the clutch are apparently rusted together. When the LH brake is applied, the clutch is also disengaged? The Parts Manual does not show the mechanism inside the housing. So I"m thinking that the part that the clutch operating rod is attached to is rusted to the brake/clutch shaft? The clutch pedal itself is free when you loosen the free play adjustment. I"ve thought about trying to drive the shaft out from right to left, but don"t know how to get it back since the thing is way inside the housing? I guess I"m missing something here! Any advise would be greatly appreciated.
