When I rebuilt my hyd pump on my Super A because I was losing fluid and gaining engine oil I found some residue in the pump. So I took out the strainer on the side and was dismayed at the condition it was in and also the crud or sludge that was in the bottom. The screen was all disformed and there is one tiny hole in its side. I washed it out with kerosene the best I could and used my finger to pull the sludge of the bottom then put it back in and added more kerosene to let it soak. Just priced them and got sticker shock! Do you think its ok to try and bend the creases out of the screen and solder that hole up? Any one been there done that? Any advice is appreciated. ...Fred
