Don't know if it's your issue, but is it stuck in 5th or just wont go in any gear other than 5th? I had a M that would get stuck in gear even if you moved the shifter, turns out the problem was my shifter would move the fork forward, then could lift out and go back into the slots of the other two forks. What I had to do was lift out the shifter, look at the forks and use the end of the shifter to line all the forks then just be careful not to lift up on it when shifting.
