C. Cowboy: Any thing that is not REAL smooth and STRAIGHT inside the sleeve will cause the rings to flex in-out on every stroke. This constaint flexing over the old rusty spot will cause the rings to FAIL very quickly. It ain't worth the effort unless you do it up proper like a machine shop would..or should. "Honeing it true" is the minimum? .. good luck. harvey
