To split the solid cast single front rim all you have to do is obviously remove the rim from the forks and just take out the four large bolts and then you will probably have to smack the rim with a dead-blow hammer or such to get it apart. The axle has a grease zerk in one end that feeds the entire axle so while you have it apart it will be a good time to make sure that the grease is getting to all the places it is supposed to be going. Hopefully yours will be in better shape than mine was, I had to bore out the rims and put in bushings and make a new axle. They were very worn out.... Good Luck, ~Brian
