I would start by letting it sit 24-48 hours and then slowly open up the oil drain plug. DO NOT pull it all the way out but open it up just till it starts to drip. Watch for what comes out as in oil or water. Also what color the fluid is as in green or clear water. If clear maybe water down the exhaust if green then you got other problems which could be head gasket or sleeve seals etc
