You might be surprised at what you can do with that Zenith.
I bought a "parts" Zenith off eBay for a few bucks. It looked like it was buried out back for years, wow was it a mess.
Pulled it a part, used heat to make sure all the brass pieces came out OK, soaked the heck out of it in carb cleaner and once I had all the gunk taken care off I soaked it in Evapo Rust and then chased all the circuits with drill bits (by hand).
Soaked it in carb cleaner again then blew it out with compressed air.
It sounds like a lot of work but really it's just a 20 minutes a shot for a few nights.
I have a BN with a Marvel as well, they both work well.
