Wow, this URL link is great. Guess I've lead a sheltered life as I've never seen it before. The serial number list for Louisville 1947-1967 is very hard to read. I take it that in the table the models A & B, including Supers, are the two top data lines, chassis & engine number, and the C/Super C chassis and engine numbers are the two bottom lines. Right? Engine numbers don't appear to start until June 1952. I've always thought my Super C is a 1952. It's serial number tag shows FC142348. This list shows that number as a chassis number for April 1952. Cool! No engine number is in the table for April, but mine is FMC142185. Is there any way to tell if that engine number is original to the tractor? I have no reason to believe otherwise but still it would be nice just to have documentation.
