I bought an MD about a month ago, owner said it didn't have a generator belt, and he has to boost it to start.( owner new less about the tractor than I've already learned), anyway I replaced the belt, I should state that it has a 12 v battery that is pos. ground - is this right? he said to boost it the regular way +-+,- - -, the gauge says the gen. is putting out 10-11amps, the tractor still won't turn over, I took battery out and put in my pickup, used it for 3 days worked fine. put it back in md, it cranked for probably 10 sec. and then died, boosted it and now i'm back to where i was. I don't know if this 12v system is correct. why won't the battery charge? any help will be appreciated, thanks
