Paul, I have had a similiar problem with my M, the fix is take the gear stick out and the cap protecting the gear box, get a flashlight and look down inside and you will see three rails that need to be lined up sounds like one of yours is out of line. Get a long sturdy screwdriver or tire tool and line the three back up, it will take some pressure to do this, this should solve the problem. Good luck-by the way mine worked the first time I tried it.Tip-don't shift fast or while the 400 is moving this is one of the reasons for this happening. jiM
