I finished putting on all of the new wires today and got the 300 started with the starter for the first time. Everything seemed fine except that after about a minute of the engine running I heard an electric motor sound start up and realized the starter had begun to turn again. I was surprised and I immediately pushed in the ignition switch. The tractor engine stopped quickly but the starter kept running till I opened up the battery box and yanked the - cable off the battery. I am wondering if I wired it wrong somehow or if I need a new relay or start button. The relay has two small terminals on it, one marked S and one marked I. I ran a wire from the ammeter to one side of the start button and one from the other side of the start button to the S terminal. I ran a wire from the I terminal to the coil side of the voltage resistor. Another possibly relevant factor is that the starter drive got stuck twice before I was able to start the engine and I had to loosen the bolts and jiggle the starter to get it to pop back in. Any advice will be much appreciated. Zach
