I was reassembling the engine on my '44 H and realized that I didn't have a critical part ready. The problem - I already sprayed the coppercoat gasket sealer on the gasket that goes between the block and the metal plate between the block and the gear cover. I have not tightened anything, so my question is: will I have to get a new gasket or will I be able to torque the cover bolts and still have the gasket seal properly if I wait a day or two?
