not all getting spark

I have a problem that I hope someone can help me figure out. I have a 50 H. I was checking for spark using an inline spark checker I bought from snapon or mac tools, I get spark on the numbers 1,2,3 plug wires but not number 4. The spark checker i'm using gets plugged into the cap then you plug the wire into the other end. I've tried checking for spark while cranking the motor and while it's running,but only get spark on 1,2,3 not 4. Any suggestions would be helpful because i'm at a loss on this one.
