I am glad you found your problem and have it solved. I did have water in my rear end and there was leakage at all the seals including the break shaft seals. Once I changed the oil in the transmission and lowered the oil level to the proper depth the seal leaking has stopped or at least slowed. I had to clean the break disk and surfaces to stop the grabbing. I may face having to replace the seals at some point.
