With all of your help and suggestions, I think I have found the problem. There was no leakage from trans. into the housing, which would also cause the condition. But, when I took the actuator apart I found the ball bearings to have a light coat of surface rust on them. The ramps were also lightly rusted. This condition, plus the thin disks was probably the cause of the brakes grabbing. I'll replace all disk pads, remove the rust from the ramps, remove the ball rust by placing them in a coin cleaner roller machine repeat that operation on the right side brake & the ole SC will be good for another 50-years.
