What is it exactly that "kicks" when it does kick? Why doesn't it do it when you're cranking it with a battery and starter? When I was a teen-ager, my Grandpaw told me of people getting their arm broken by a crank. And then one day as I was cranking the "H", sure enough, the thing kicked and went flying up through the air overhead like a whirling dirvish. It was just by the grace of the Good Lord that it didn't hit me. I've hand cranked that "H" a lot of times since then and it's never done it since. When I first got my "B", I tried to hand crank it. It scared me. Made me think how fortunate I was (again) to not have a broken arm. I've been thinking about selling that crank just so the temptation won't be there. There's a post down below here that advices to just keep a good battery and not hand crank. I believe that's pretty good advise. Thanks to all of you all who so freely give of your experience. It sure is helpful to those of us still wet behind the ears. T.T.F.N.
