Okay i took everything apart. I fixed one of the problems (it is charging now). I put a new external spring on the governor (not exactly perfect but close), new spark plugs, new fuel line. The cub will start and run fine (not surging anymore) but after about a minute it will shut off like the switch is turned off. after a little cranking it will restart and do the same thing. Also fuel was coming out the air intake of the carb when it would die, like the float wasn't working properly. Ideas? bad battery? carb? thank you for the help!
