Yes, the fan assembly is very different for water pump models. The fan blade has a cut out specific for the water pump outlet and the fan is not as aggressive. Also the pulley sizes change from the early SC to the 200 yielding a faster generator turn. Otherwise the fan assembly is functionally identical. I did install one on an SC by switching out the pulleys and the fan blades using the items from the old assembly and it worked fine. The new units have a much better bearing arrangement.
