There is no advance in the distributer. Clean the carb. It is very simple. If you would like to have the engine run a little faster on the gas cycle, it is simple to do. When you have the carb off you will see a flat washer about an inch in diameter held with a small screw. There will be a lock washer under the screw head. Put this lock washer under the larger flat washer. This will move the flat washer away from the carb base. This flat washer is the throttle plate. It works great. Chech the plugs and the plug wires also.
