If the brake cylinder hone is a solid straight hone I agree it can be done. if it is the type that has center pivot stones, there is no way to hold cylindricity to .0005 to .0007" accuracy. The bushing hone used at the shop is way serious and has provision to hold the rod square and straight while honeing. Jim
