my 350d was never a strong starter even after a complete restoration. it got a little worse each year and even acted like a vapor locked gas engine if u attempted a restart when up to temperature. i finally recalled that my pump guy said the hydraulic head was marginal. purchased n.o.s. pump from montys (chicago) & pump guy put its head & parts from original together wow! starts better than ever! having said that, u will still need help when it is cold. that is the nature of most lanova combustion chambers
