Can't seem to get my 706 full of hy-tran, already added 7 1/2 gallons and it's just barely on the stick. Never looked that close at the stick before but now I noticed it looks like it's been broken or cut and brazed back together. It's an IH version, 1963, I think I read that the early ones had shorter sicks? Anyway, you can see where it's been brazed right above the disc; what is that for anyway? It measures about 13 1/2" to the top of the rubber, is that what it should be?
