Twenty-five years ago IHC sold a complete kit for putting a water pump on a C. If I remember correctly it had the pump, a new fan bracket and fan assembly, belt, generator adjusting arm, head gasket and temp gauge. After I installed it I only had to grind the valves every ten years, instead of every two. I don't know if the kits are still avalilable, and the price will probably scare you if they are, but an old parts book would list the components by part number.
