Don't over grease the distributor. You'll just have more of the same. New grease is not much at containing pressure. There is plenty of pressure in the hydraulic system if that is where your oil is coming from.

Spray it down good with WD-40 then blow it off, you should get rid of most of the oil. A good cleaning may last long enough to get you by until winter, but the winter of 2010 is a long way off!
